But I do like rap.
I don't even try to "live the thug life", and hell I even make fun of it. I laugh at all that "slapahoe" crap. I live in government housing, but its more like the 'burbs than the 'hood. I wear a long black coat in the winter, and my pants fit.
But I like rap. |

EDIT: was I the only guy here clicking on this thread title expecting to find this guy complaining about how he got made fun off at school by a bunch of real thugs? I'm disappointed.

I like some rap, too, but that's because it has big beats. I like big beats more than I like rap, so I don't listen to the gibberish over top of the big.

Actually, the one song that got me into rap was "Killahoe" by Eleven Five, because I thought it was about the funniest/stupidest thing I'd ever heard. I highly recommend finding this track, or any others by said group, because, while violence against women is not funny, they phrase it in a way that makes me laugh.
Pharoahe Monch and El-P (hip hop track in odd time with The Mars Volta!) still get regular spots in my car CD changer, but anything with lyrics about thug livin' or the new rims they got on their car wear thin quite quickly, regardless of how well it was produced. |

Just go get yourself an old Cadillac and a do-rag and be done with it.
