I'm officially having a rubbish Easter...UPDATE

Sign in to disble this ad
I've just come home from university for the Easter holidays and it's turning out to be a disaster.
There's a distinct possibility that I'm having to quit both my worship bands as recently my playing has suffered because of my wrist problems.
Then last night I almost smashed my Shergold because I was so angry at the possibility of the above happening.

Now I've found out that my dog is seriously ill and could poosibly even die, and is having emergency treatment as I type this.

I just wanna cry...........

UPDATE: Got a phone call from the vet, my dog is beyond any treatment. She died an hour ago.

I hope you both feel better asap. Maybe putting the bass down for a couple of weeks will help the wrist, no ?

I've lost several well-loved animals in the past couple of years, so I feel for you there. On the gig, sometimes a break is a good thing. Doesn't feel good at the time(isn't there some scripture to this point?)but when you can play again, you may have a much greater appreciation for it.

Funny but I just posted this in the Phillipino thread but it seems to work here too.

Always look on the bright side of life.

Get your wrist checked by someone who realy knows what they are doing. I had both operated on last year & wish I had done it much sooner.

I agree with much of the advice already given. Take a break, seek out some good distractions, and get your wrist looked at by someone who knows what they're doing. Best wishes for your dog's recovery.

I'm going to have to do something wrist-wise.......

As for my dog, I'll grieve and then get over it.......

Oh, that's a shame. Grieve as you need to. Perhaps raise a glass...

I just watched the episode with the confuse a cat sketch. If that doesn't make you crack a smile, you have no pulse.

Anyway, I hope Fassa can get through these hard times and hope the wrist gets better.

Rated as the worst way in the history of the Earth in which to die. Although Peter one up him, got skinned alive then crucified upside down.

Sorry to hear about that, but if it makes you feel any better, my Easter Friday isn't going as planned either. My cell group in church is splitting up, and I someone turned off my alarm clock today. I was supposed to go to church a few hours ago.
