I'll be moving at the end of August. I'll be living in the Prospect area. Any advice on good bass instructor's in the area? Music stores? Etc.? I'm looking forward to the move as my family is in Indiana, so i'll be much closer to them.
Any other suggestions are also welcome, such as, places to eat, live music, attractions, etc. Thanks

I have only visited that area. The Louisville Slugger Museum when I was in elementary school, and then a campus visit to U of L in 2004-2005.
Enjoy the area!

I'm not a DB'r. I bought my first bass at 30(40 now), and I still have A LOT to learn. Oh if I could do it all again...
Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm looking forward to the move.

For bass gear, drive to Nashville and go to The Low End and other stores in that area. Check CraigsList for used stuff. Music stores in the Lou area include Guitar Emporium, Mom's Music, Guitar Center, Music Go Round, Willis Music, and maybe others. Guitar Emporium is the best bet for good vintage/rare gear. Any of 'em might have something you like. Quote:

I like to go to concerts at Headliner's Music Hall, Brown Theater, and The Rudyard Kipling. All of the large acts typically play at the Kentucky Fried Chicken arena downtown these days. The boat casino has some good shows occasionally.
