I'm currently living on Hemenway Street in Boston. In case you're not familiar with the area, it's about a 5 minute walk from Fenway Park.

All of the cars on the street have been towed, and we have police patrolling all up and down the street getting ready for the impending riots after the ALCS tonight.

Just one more reason for me to hate the Red Sox.

It's tough being a Rays fan in Boston... As if the last 10 years weren't hard enough.

Another reason I dislike professional sports fans that live for the game in general.

Just because a sports team loses a game or wins a game it's no reason to destroy property.

Idiots, and I mean it.

Why hate the Red Sox when it is a bunch of drunk idiots not even associated with the team that do this garbage? Sure, they may call themselves "fans", but it isn't the Red Sox that go out there and burn cars and break windows.

I'm a third generation Red Sox fan, "born into it" if you will (though I'm currently living in "enemy territory"). I hate that the actions of a few give a bad name to the rest of us.

Well, to be fair, I'm actually from Tampa Bay, so I'm kind of obligated to hate them in the first place.

Baseball fans have nothing on soccer (football to you) fans. Even the ones over here are nuts. When the Toronto FC won their first ever game, the fans ripped the seats out and started tossing them on the field.

Of course, we could ban liquor sales during sporting events.

Yeah, right. That's gonna happen.

BTW, keep your head down on March 17th in Boston.
The young'uns like to fight that evening.

Nah. People in Boston only destroy property when the sports teams win. When they lose they go to bed. I know I did

I was hoping that they would win, but since they lost, at least I won't have to play another gig this year with only a half full bar with all eyes on the TV watching the game and everyone cheering in the MIDDLE of our songs!

Nope, soccer is called soccer in the states. Football is what we play with a pigskin and goalposts, and touchdowns and all that. Soccer is called soccer. I think we were under the impression that soccer is called futbol in other countries.

He was talking to someone from Scotland. Most people over there call it football.

No riots last night. Everyone went straight to bed afterward. I, however, took the liberty of running down the hallway waving a Rays sign and screaming.

I heard a car got torched down near Fenway, though, but I didn't see it.

Doesn't it make a whole lot more sense to call Soccer Football? You don't use your hands, you KICK a ball around all day with your FOOT.

American football, you throw a ball around with your HANDS tackle people with your HANDS....only 1 guy on the whole team uses his foot to hit the ball.

I say we Americans give up both the foot(metrics are way better...*** base 12) and football.

Ah, I failed to grasp that. I assumed he was talking to someone in the states. My post can be deleted now.
