I'm Tired!

I was the guy who read all the names at the evening graduation at my university. The evening program was the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering. it was close to 500 students. The Engineers, in particular, have alot of South Asian students who have long, multi-syllabic names. Being a professor of African History who teaches World History came in handy for that task! I am just gonna rest my voice for the rest of the day. What surprises me is that I my body is tired too. I don't know if doing pushups will help for talking forty-five minutes !

Did you mispronounce any of the 500 names? Was there a "cheat sheet" [phonetic guide]?

I went over the list ahead of time, and students would whisper their names before I announced them, but I did flub a few. That is the law of averages. Fortunately, I'm pretty good pronouncing Non-English names.
