I have two pissed off cats in a cat carrier, a flashlight, and a wireless network that reaches the basement. I'm all set! The current radar is this:

We're right in the middle of the map on the crosshairs, if you can see that. A tornado has touched down west of us and is supposedly heading in this direction. Wish us luck!

They're not that common where I live, so when they do happen they're pretty noteworthy.

My daughter was having her birthday party today when the sirens went off. I think the kids had more fun from the hubbub of rushing into our basement, than whey would have had from the party games we had planned.

Things are fine on this end. Apparently a tornado touched down in my town - it's not that big, so it couldn't have been that far from me! Milwaukee had something like four inches of rain in an hour, floating cars, etc. Nasty storm, but we're all okay and the cats are happy to be back in the apartment.

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. No one should have to go through the trauma of a seagull crapping on a sunburn.

I just posted another thread of pics around Chicago of a heavyweight tornado I chased. Dang, we're getting pounded in the midwest!
