It's funny- my son(11)wanted to see it because he's a huge fan of John Williams. This flick was FAR off-limits to my slightly over-protective parents. GOD I love the 70s.

After midnight, lots of people are a bit twisted. See if they want to go swimming later today.

It's just comical- she is the *sensitive* one- I'm telling her all through the movie 'Don't watch! Close your eyes- you'll have bad dreams!' Plus, my kids are a bit sheltered- they've seen all the Star Wars movies and a few others as graphic, but we don't have TV, and they don't see a lot of crazy stuff- but the way she guffawed at an exploding shark was just hilarious.

No- I've seen a Jew or two. Richard Dreyfuss is Jewish, isn't he? What about Spielberg? Dude was 26 when he directed this- amazing.

Yeah, the DVD- being from Netflix, and pretty old- had some pretty basic *extras*
Spielberg was so young.

I saw it about 2 days before I went to the beach for the first time. I had a great time on the beach and spent a little time in the water.

the one scene, the MONEY scene, where Quint gets chomped through the guts, gurgles blood, and gets dragged to the water, is still pretty horrific to me. Sure, the shark landing on deck may be a bit *fantastical*, but the endless chomping as he sinks the back, and Quint sliding into the maw...just...incredible.

edit: the extended "remix" of that scene
