It's funny- my son(11)wanted to see it because he's a huge fan of John Williams. This flick was FAR off-limits to my slightly over-protective parents. GOD I love the 70s.

Close your eyes- you'll have bad dreams!' Plus, my kids are a bit sheltered- they've seen all the Star Wars movies and a few others as graphic, but we don't have TV, and they don't see a lot of crazy stuff- but the way she guffawed at an exploding shark was just hilarious.

Sure, the shark landing on deck may be a bit *fantastical*, but the endless chomping as he sinks the back, and Quint sliding into the maw...just...incredible.
