Apparently there is an outbreak of flu at my college. Class sizes dwindled significantly, and I heard kids were being sent home to recover and a few to the hospital with complications. There's a rumor flying around that if the number of cases reaches a certain point, the state dept. of health will step in and quarantine the school for a certain amount of days.
What really irks me is how some people are sick, yet still go out to the bars and clubs (tightly packed, poorly ventilated areas) and hook up with random people. Furthermore, there was a kid in one of my classes who was visibly sick, pile of kleenex on his desk and all, and coughing and sneezing WITHOUT covering his mouth

.
I've heard so many kids whining and complaining about this flu outbreak, but so little who are being proactive (washing hands, avoid going out, cover coughs/sneezes). No wonder the damn thing is spreading so fast. I go to school with a bunch of selfish, self-serving idiots.
