Who would have thought that a pimp wasn't a reliable witness?

It happens more than the media lets the general public know.

Man freed after serving 21 years for murder after witness recants - Chicago Sun-Times

I have several friends who were wrongfully convicted of murders they did not commit, only to be proven later that they were indeed innocent.

In the below link one of my friends Lionell Lane was found innocent of murder after receiving a 60 year sentence.

One was hours away from execution.

For those who may be interested in seeing just a short list of those who were later proven innocent.

Well, it's a good thing when the innocent get exonerated. Tying the name "convicted felon" to someone adds quite the stain to their character, regardless of what they actually did or did not do.
