Why not eat some and find out. It's only about the cheapest "food" known to man.

Ramen is high carb and high sodium, and isn't a good source of vitamins or minerals - not the best thing to live on for any long-term period of time. There's certainly better stuff to eat out there

It's carbohydrates. Plain and simple. If this is all you eat, then you're going to be getting nutrient deficiencies.

What I do is cook the noodles without the packets of salt and add my own seasonings. Then after cooking, I add some fresh frozen veggies like carrots or peas or corn that I can microwave and then maybe throw in a few chunks of cooked, diced chicken or turkey or maybe even a little bit of raw tuna. Shrimp is especially good but that adds a lot to the price.

With a bit of fruit on the side and perhaps a small salad, this is a very cheap way to eat healthy.

Like already mentioned. Too much salt.

As long as it's in moderation, like anything else, you'll be fine. It's not like there is anything toxic in the can, just don't try to live on the stuff.

Throw a 1/4 lb of pasta in a pot of boiling water. When it comes to a boil again toss in a lb of frozen veggies. This time when it boils, drain the water and throw in the entire "cooked" container of soup (minus the container). Stir it up and eat. Still not great cuisine, but pretty easy and much better than the straight soup from the cup.

Try this recipe:

Open 1 package of noodles and discard salt packet
Put 1 quart cold water in pan, add noodles and put flame on high
Grind in fresh black pepper and Italian seasoning, stir
When water comes to boil turn off heat and simmer for 1 minute
Drain noodles but do not rinse
Heat one cup of fresh frozen peas and carrots in microwave
Add teaspoon of butter to noodles
Add peas and carrots to noodles
Add 1/2 cup of diced chicken* to noodles
Add dash of Tabasco sauce and mix noodles

*chicken instructions:

Put two chicken breast fillets in saucepan with 1/2 cup water
Add 1/4 cup of Italian salad dressing
Turn on flame and cook chicken until just done through
Dice chicken and store in fridge to add to other dishes in small amounts

Processed foods are generally bad for you. it just takes years to see the damage. If it is in a can or a box then you are doing slow damage. I am just getting over a case of lime disease. Though I have been a fairly good eater, this forced me to start eating fresh food. Know that I am better, it is amazing how much more energy I have by eating well. I am 62 know and have as much energy as people half my age.
