One of the cooler local street names. Named after a certain Leo and home of the G&L shop.

A few places in Nova Scotia I found amusing on the way through:
Upper Economy
Economy
Lower Economy
Now we know where the wealthy live.

Out west have a few that I can recall:
Head Smashed - In Buffalo Jump, Alberta
Flin Flon, Manitoba
Some town names out west are odd.

On PEI (Prince Edward Island), there's a cliff diving area called Sea Cow Head. I have no idea where the name came from.

Not sure if it was mentioned but there's a hell, mi . I also always laughed at the pharmacy in Mesick, mi cause it was the Mesick pharmacy. Most interesting road name is seen from 80/90 in between Cleveland and Toledo called Fangboner rd.

There used to be a pharmacy here near the bus terminal. It was called "Terminal Drugs."

I find that almost all cites and places have interesting names if you're interested in where names come from. For example, my city is known to most people as "Los Angeles"--The Angels. In truth, the name of the city is Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles del Rio Porciuncula, which means "Our Lady Queen of Angels of the Porciuncula River."

I used to live near North Zulch, Texas.

Tell me that if you got a letter postmarked from North Zulch, you WOULDN'T think it came from the very far end of the earth....

I was driving through PA once and I passed by a sign for "Street Road".
I had to wonder whether the people originally naming it couldn't decide whether it was a street or a road, and came to an agreement to make it both.

Worked in Mexico, MO.

Place called Stoner Drugs in Hamburg, IA.

Clapton lives in Hurtwood Edge, Surrey, and Phil Collins lives nearby.
