Internet Fax Services?

Has anyone used internet fax services like myfax.com? It's an online fax-to-email service for $10 a month for 200 incoming and 100 outgoing faxes.

I'm starting to apply for jobs, serious consideration here, and am looking to make it as easy for an employer to contact me and for me to provide a potential employer with the information they want in the format they want.

I've got a month free, can send faxes from my laptop or my iPhone, and can receive them in the same places. I can also pick my number, or at least the city that my number comes from so I'm sure to get a local fax number.

What are your thoughts? Experiences?

Apparently NOBODY uses these services, so I signed up for the 30 day free trial anyway.

So far, it's pretty okay. I get faxes about ten minutes later on my iPhone and on my laptop in PDF format.

I can send from my iPhone with just a coversheet and plain text, or attachments as well from my laptop.

To do any more detail, I have to go in through their web client, but for the volume I intend to do, it's more than plenty.

So emails (+ PDF attachment if needed) doesn't work for some of your contacts?

Some of them are still stuck in the stone age and can't work anything more modern than a fax machine.

To expand the number of people I can work with, I'm willing to pay the $10 a month.
