Interview for School Project.. Any volunteers?

Ok, for my english class we have to do an interview with an individual over 55, about an important single event in their life. I thought it would be cool to do an interview with someone from TB, since it would be someone I don't really have any knowledge about, other than a love for bass playing.

I would ask some basic initial questions then based on that, find a major life event to ask about, a high or low point in your life, or an important life changing moment. I would need some pictures of you, one from around the time of the event if possible and a more recent one.

After it's all written up and the whole paper is done we send it to the interviewees. So if anyone's interested pm me

I can pretend, here goes ::ahem::
"Get of my lawn!" "Dang hooligans on your wheelie boards!" "In my day we didn't have video games! We had squirrels!" and "oops, I pooped my pants"
::takes bow::

How about your local senior center, Lions/Elks Club, or American Legion post?

That's amazing.

I'll probably interview my neighbor but I just got sick >.< and we're supposed to have the initial questions done by Friday and I don't want to get behind even though I'm sick.
So yeah, if anyone wants to take part, I'd really appreciate the help.

Yeah, because nothing screams not creepy like interviewing a 55 year old man that you met on the internet.

What about grandparents? I remember the first time I innocently asked my sweet little Filipino Grandma about growing up in the Philippines, and was floored by the stories she had, from getting in a fight with another chick and pulling a Mike Tyson on her ear, cheering on American fighter pilots while they were fighting with the Japanese in WW2, to some straight up terrifying stories about the Japanese raiding her village, which ended up with them executing all of the men in my Grandmas family.
Just saying that they might have led more interesting lives than you would ever believe.

I really wish I could, but both sets of grandparents have passed away, there arent any family members alive over 55, other than my parents and I can't interview them, and my neighbors sick and she would be amazing to interview, her late husband was one of the big-wigs at marriott hotel I believe. So I have no where else to go on short notice other than trust old TB. if you're almost 55 we could make an agreement to say your 55

not at all, my dads 65, and he doesnt act old, look old, therefore he isn't old. Being 'old' is relative to each individual. But i was frustrated.

Why don't you call someone important in your community? Or your local government reps?

I've found that saying i'm a student gets me into all sorts of interesting conversations. IME, people are very willing to help students in their community.
