Not really an interview as much as meeting the person responsible for the hiring with my application forms and documents. And when I say teaching position, I really mean consideration for sub-work in high school, wich is not even the level at wich I'm supposed to be teaching*. Yet, I'm nervous as carp, almost to the point of puking. We're not even in the morning yet...
That is all...
* We have CEGEP here, wich is basically an institution wedged between high school and university (high school kids graduate younger than they do in the US). This is where I am supposed to be teaching after getting my Masters in Lit. But positions are hella scarce where I'm living and it's hard getting in without any teaching experience due to baby boomers not wanting to retire (the conditions are dreamy).

Peace,
Greg

I will be very nervous a day or two before, but totally calm once I'm in the situation that created the nervousness: sort of a "diver syndrome", you stress about the water being cold, but once you are in, it feels warm.
I met a couple of people, shook a lot of hands and tried my best, but the job prospects aren't very bright. They want candidates with BA's in Education and with the RIGHT BA in education (elementary/high school). And then you gotta have the RIGHT speciality (math, history, shop, etc.) if you want to teach High School.
My saving grace is my relatively good mastery of the English language (English teachers are rare). But I still got the vibe that everybody is scared to hire me because all I have as far as teaching credentials is a decade spent teaching alpine skiing to kids ranging from all ages. Also, working in Academia with tenured professors and teaching THEM stuff. Yet, that seems to account for nothing. Really, really, really frustrating. The value of that piece of paper is sky high, yet I live with someone who got their BA in Education and she told me that she basically learned nothing from it. All her class smarts, she got by working with kids from a young age and with hands-on experiences, not by reading books and attending classes.
I'm seriously thinking of becoming a plumber. I have the crack for it.
