The rumor mill is churning overtime on this one. People with the iPhone4 think the rumor is crap, people with the iPhone3 don't. I love it.

I never pay attention them to anyway a lot of them have proven time and again to be wrong...

Of course it's not a 100% exact, for example Apple doesn't seem to care about the Classic iPod or the Mac Mini anymore, and the latest Macbook Pro update was in February rather than November, but it's still a great guide.

That's been the suspicion since the iPhone 4, the 5 will be 4G, released summer 2011, available on AT&T immediately, Verizon in Q1 of 2012. The other rumors are that there are 3 variants of the iPhone in development - 5 will be a 4G upgrade of the 4, others will bring new features.
And I must say that while I may have a mac, ipod, and my wife has a mac, ipod and iphone, I wouldn't say I'm an apple fanboy or nything, but their product integration is fantastic, and the availability of apps is far outpacing everyone else on the market. They've positioned themselves to rule the market, and android - or apple jr., whatever - is going to continue to ride their coattails.

I am far from an Apple hater or basher. I do think it is funny how the iPhone5 rumors are all over the place already, and everyone but the people who just dropped $300 on an iPhone4 are happy about it.
