iPhone -Apparently got wet

My iPhone apparently got wet (I was running in the rain) and now it won't turn on. Tried putting it in the bag of rice for two days, tried plugging it in afterwords, none of it works. Is there anything else I could try? (And it is still under warranty but I dont think it covers water damage.)

Take off all possible covers and run air from a blow dryer (low or no heat) through it for at least 10 minutes.

But if you turned it on while wet, it may be fried. Cross your fingers.

My I Pod got dragged from my car for about 500 feet @ 40 mph when my daughter closed the door on the cord (Ipod car aux) with the I pod dragging on the street!

Thing still works a year later!

My bet is short circuiting, if you tried turning it on while not dry. If it is still wet, try frying it in the oven at 50 degrees for an hour or so, that will make it crisp an dry. A friend got her iPhone wet, and being for some reason above average intelligent in regards to water and its effect on electronic devices, did that. It turned on.

Put it in a bowl of uncooked rice and leave it for a bit.

I've heard that putting it in a sealed bag with a couple of those silica gel packs...you know, those annoying things you get packed in with a new purchase that says "don't eat." I don't know if it works, but it is supposed to suck out the moisture, I'm sure similar to the rice trick. I hope you get it working again....

Just in case it locked up... hold two buttons in for 15 seconds to reboot. (the one below the screen and the one on the edge by the earphone jack)

If you can't get it working I've heard that if you take it to Apple they'll sell you a refurb for $200. That may be the best deal you'll get as far as replacing it goes.
