Earlier this year, an Iranian cleric claimed women who wear revealing clothes cause natural disasters. Hojjat ol-eslam Kazem Sediqi, a prayer leader in Tehran, said: "Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society, which increases earthquakes."

"Homosexuals now pervade and control American government at every level and branch. Thus, only those churches that support and promote the militant homosexual agenda enjoy religious freedom. Any church in America that dares to preach what the Bible says about soul-damning, nation-destroying moral filth of the vile homosexual beasts among us, loses all Constitutional guarantees of religious freedom and speech rights."
| That's a quote from an American preacher. Of course, it wouldn't be fair to tarnish a whole country because of the words of one crazzy ass preacher would it?
In Mississippi, the sale of alcohol is prohibited in most of the state on Sundays. The history of these "blue" laws is fairly easy to research if anyone is keen. The point being that Iran isn't the only country that has crazy preaches and laws that many of us would consider to be rediculous and puritanical. Its just a question of degree.
Just so there is no confusion, I am not saying that Iran is in the right or that I support what their government does, but simply that its not difficult to find similar things in anyone's backyard (well, perhaps not Scandanavia, they are quite progressive!).
Man countries have some crazy
