This is hilarious. I'm pretty sure I could take one with an ultra-light and a 30.06. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/28...-boats/?hpt=T2

The airplanes shown can't fly higher than 10 feet. The one in the air looks photoshopped.
These are airplanes used similar to hovercraft for personal pleasure.
We'll see how long the story stays up.
If it is a legit story (which I highly doubt), quit worrying about a nuclear program.

So, we have developed defenses against them. The newer carriers, destroyers, cruisers, etc. have more than enough ample firepower to repel an attack from a small boat. Many times, a carrier will have a team of commandos, whether Seals or Marine FAST teams, onboard and will board a ship even before it becomes a threat. Yes, there have been occurrences where small boats have done damage and even sank larger US ships, however, there have been more occurrences where they haven't but you don't hear about those or read about them. They don't make the headlines as much as a failure would.

They'd push to the edge over and over again for months, but not over until they would finally engage a ship or ships with suicide boats.

It's an ongoing process and it's not full proof but it is much better than it was 10-20 years ago. We've learned a lot from our mistakes.

Anyone else getting that vibe from some of these posts? | Well, someone is having a very sophisticated cyber-war with said country right now.
