Isn't it time for Roger Clemens to let go?

After all of this stuff about his affair with the country singer came out, now John Daly's ex wife is saying that she also had an affair with Roger Clemens. I know, techically, this has no legal bearing on his actual case, but damn, when your character and morals are already flawed, he's gonna be hard pressed to prove that McNamee "defamed" him. He can't possibly continue this.

I can't even BELIEVE he was arrogant/STUPID enough to actually file a character lawsuit with the mountain of bones he knew was in his closet.
No pun intended.

If he mucked with the 15yr old, put him in jail.

Clemens may be a good pitcher, but he ain't all that smart. He should have followed in McGwire's path, and faded off the scene. But nope, Clemens wants to stick around the limelight and make a complete fool of himself.

It's sad that this is what he's going to be remembered for.

I know you said *if* but he only met her when she was 15, there's no hint of involvement until much later.

If you weren't peterbright, I don't think that reference would have sprang to mind.

My wife, mom, sister and grandma all just called to say they had affairs with Roger Clemens.

I wonder if he will hold out as long as Pete Rose did.

I think it will have a huge impact. Clemens attorneys have to prove McNamee's allegations tarnished Roger's squeaky clean reputation. By the time this case goes to trial, there will be nothing left of Clemens good reputation.

Someone in McNamee's camp is behind getting all of these women to come forward with their claims.

Dan Duquette, Peter Gammons and Bill Simmons were right

Dan's comments on why he didn't resign Roger to a huge contract after a couple of disappointing (apparently non-chemically-aided) years

"Roger is in the twilight of his career."

Peter Gammons' nickname for Roger - "The Texas Con Man"

Bill Simmons all-time classic Roger column "Is Roger the Antichrist?" worth a read (or even a re-read!)

http://proxy.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?id=1206543

All that said - I sincerely hope he does let go and start to come clean soon. This has to be pure hell on his family.
