| | | | About time. I know hardcore libertarians aren't going to like the law, but families need to be respected when burying their loved ones.
I'm honestly surprised that the members of the Westboro Baptist church haven't ended up in intensive care yet over their "protests."

All family's need to be able to grieve in peace...

It makes me sick. That's not Christianity in any way, shape or form.

Humans should have enough deceny to let a family bury their loved ones in peace. Since apparently not all of us feel that way, I am glad that the law passed.

It's so ironic that the very rights that soldiers and others die for allows these wackos to stage these protests. Sometimes I wouldn't mind some trampling of my "free speech" right if it put an end to this type of thing. |

he seems to be your typical psychotic megalomaniac.
until he breaks a law tho, he is a full member of our free society....

I'd most likely go to jail beaten to a pulp by a mob. But at least one person would think twice before protesting again.

I understand and respect your point of view. However, I think that freedom of speech is an important right to protect, even when I find the speech at issue to be ignorant and offensive. |

| | | | Free speech could be left alive and this sort of thing dealt with by extending freedom of speech to include violence against these kinds of people. |

This "law" is nothing but political grandstanding, and legal bank rolling.
