How's this for a lineup....

Roy Halladay
Cliff Lee
Cole Hamels
Roy Oswalt

I couldn't believe my ears this morning. I was asleep but when my wife turned the TV to the morning news and I heard the Phils signed Lee I sat straight up. Come on spring.....

As a die-hard Phils phan, I am STOKED. I thought I was still asleep and dreaming when I hopped online this morning and saw the story on ESPN.

Would it surprise anybody to see Hamels or Oswalt traded in the next week?

There's no telling what the Yankees would give up for either one.

the story in the local (Philly) news is that Lee's wife did not want to see Cliff in blue pinstripes...something about a spitting incident...And Rueben Amaro would be ran out of town on a rail if he traded any of his star hurlers at this point in time.

actually Lee signed for less money with the Phils. Less that the Rangers and much less that the Yankees were offering.

Phils had a 150m payroll BEFORE signing Lee to 24m per year

I guess Jimmy Rollins can keep hitting .190, and they can just leave right field empty.

Rollins was hurt much of the season and Jason will be missed but Rueben has been doing a great job since taking over the GM position. They'll be okay.

Rollins has been hurt, Werth is gone and rumor has it they're trying to relieve themselves of Blanton's and Ibanez' contracts.

But will they implement the D.E.N.N.I.S. system?

Beat the Cowgirls at Jerryworld.

Sign Clifton Phifer Lee out from under the nose of the Evil Empire.

Beat Cindy and The Pigeons from out west.

Even that other team that plays with the big orange ball won.

I'll sleep easy as a Phan tonight!

Birds are doing good, The Fightins have the best pitching staff in baseball right now, and the Pen's winning streak ended in Philly last night. Ain't a bad time to be a Phan!
