| I have no idea what happened since I wasn't there, and I wasn't on the phone for very long. But the most likely scenerio is that everyone was drinking in the park and cops started getting physical when they shouldn't have, and people beat them down. I think there's about 6-8 people in jail right now, hopefully there were no weapons involved.
One girl I'm friends with, one time kicked 5 cops in the nuts, took a chunk out of ones arm and stole his gun because they broke her nose. And she's only 5'6 and 120lbs, so I don't even want to imagine what happened last night.
A lot of time, young cops need to realize that they are the ones who are causing bad situations. For the most part, people who get caught drinking in public or whatever happens, will be respectable to the law and bite the bullet as they pour out their booze. It's a risk we're willing to take, and it's lumps we're willing to swallow when we do get caught. But when we are being respectable and cops decide to pull guns on your dog who's sitting there wagging it's tail and threatening to shoot it, or pinning people on the ground, they made the wrong choice and became disrespectful for no reason. Badge or no badge, a disrespectful person harming someone you care about, within my circle, is not going to end up in a good situation. Despite the consequences.
