Then there is the question of quelling further unrest from any brainwashed groups of GadaafI supporters so that Libya can assume a valid democratic place in the world.
So far, the signs from other rebel held towns seem encouraging, but it ain't over until it's over...to think otherwise would be to suggest the Iraq situation was over when they pulled down Saddam's statue

I do not condone refering to anyone by a physical characteristic. Additionally, I am refraining from stating an opinion on this event. It is my hope that the loss of civilian life is significantly less than the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan by the United States and its allies. My apology if it appeared to you that I support rascist statements- I do not.

On the other hand, the Taliban fell from power pretty fast in Afghanistan, and look how that's working out now. Each country is different. We'll have to wait and see if Libya turns into another failed state or is able to hold together and get a decent government in place.

My concern would be another Iraq/Afghanistan type of long term commitment.
