Still not raining much here in the northern part of the state. The fires of 1998 were so close to my house that ashes were falling in my yard. I'm ready for some rain!

Rain?

Man, we got HAMMERED last night here in north/central NC...

...golfball sized hail, power was out at my house until 2 am due to several downed trees on our street...

Still managed to catch a baseball game and fireworks with the kids though! However, that was after sitting in the car watching/listening to the hail for 30 or so minutes, thinking, well...should we go home?...no, there's no electricity there...

My yard is COVERED in the leaves that were blown off the trees...we've had a few good storms already this spring/early summer...

We've been getting a lot this year, usually it stops almost completely during the summer. Everything is groing and some of the rivers where I canoe are gonna be up for a change. I kinda figg'r it will stop sometime soon and I'll still be stuck on sandbars all the dang time.
