I live in Norway. We have snow from November through the winter until April.
We're driving all year.

Get a grip. Literally.

Have tyres with proper grip and traction for winter roads - or don't drive at all.

You think Montreal is bad come to Vancouver. Not only are there some of the worst drivers in the world in any conditions here since it doesn't snow much most of them don't have snow tires on or any snow driving experience. Throw in a large minority of skiers and people who've lived where it does snow and it's utter chaos.

Driving in Vancouver is a disaster at the best of times, I can only imagine what it's like when it snows in the city...

Driving up to Whistler on a friday afternoon in February is quite an experience.

Montreal drivers are generally more competent than Vancouver ones (IME) but are a lot more insane.

We've had more than a meter of snow in the last 2 weeks. Lots of dummies on the road but we don't have the traffic volumes of Montreal or Vancouver so it's not too bad.
