I've had enough, I'm leaving TalkBass.

I always wanted to do a self-indulgent rant about how I was leaving that 2% of TBers would care about. So I'm outta here. Forever. Or until a week from Monday, whichever comes first.

In reality I'm headed to New Orleans for a big convention for work. Which sounds like fun except that I'm giving over 40 presentations in 3 days (mine run Thursday through Saturday every half hour). And both my flights (Tuesday and Sunday) leave at 6 am.

If there are any N'awlins TBers that want to try to get together, give me a shout out and the first round is on me.

Sounds like fun and, just for the record, I'm glad you're not leaving for good, BigO - I always find your posts to be down-to-earth and well-reasoned.

Wanna try them through my GK 1001RB head with a Neo 212 cab?

I don't know if you ever graded Golden State exams but that's where I learned to sweet talk waitresses into writing up 4 scotches as "appetizers" for the sake of my expense report.

Personally I'd wait until my December trip to Chicago to rob me, since my New ACG sixer is scheduled to be done in November.

That's funny that you're going to Louisiana to push science education, I just read about the National Scientific Society to Boycott Louisiana over LA Science Education Act. Any connection or just coincidence?

Anyway, have fun. Drop some funk on 'em.

Talk to me, Goose. Obviously, it won't be the same airborne trip your last visit was, but since you dumped Sophie The Lingerie Model I can be honest and say it wasn't you I was trying to impress. By the way, my meth dealer got busted, so that'll be a little harder to come by. Where are you staying this time?

Oh, and what are you doing bringing science into this state? I though we outlawed it.

Mike

I seriously dig your arsenal of movie quotations.

Ah, what a great movie.

In related news, the best of luck to you, man.
