No, it's not because I need to get to work or anything. I've got nothing planned on saturday but for the past weeks I just woke up at 9 and havent been able to just turn around and sleep on. I must be violating some unwritten rule, I mean, everybody should sleep in on saturdays... |

best of luck.

| | | | My god daughter had her wedding last night and I rolled into bed about 12:45 am and I managed to get up at 7:48 am. That was a good sleep for me as my average is 6 hours at best. I wish I could sleep like my wife on the weekends. She can nod off for 10-12 hours like it was nothing if given the chance. When it comes to getting to bed in the wee hours of the morning from after a gig night, I take forever to fall asleep and even if I can sleep in, I'm lucky if my body and brain will let me get 5 hours. I don't know why that is.

There are perks to not sleeping in. I guess I really have arrived in the land of OLD.

Much later.
4-5am later.
I guarantee you will sleep in, at least more than you were before. |

I used to be able to sleep till noon back in my younger days, now I get up at 8 on Saturdays and Sundays and I'm good to go. Besides, if I stay in bed for too long, then when I get up I hurt all over. Come to think of it, I hurt all over when I get up no matter what time it is! I tell ya, growing old sucks!

I remeber before we had our son it was unheard of to get up before 10. Usually it was more like 11:30. My wife still does. I just can't.
To be honest though, I really enjoy getting up early. I make some coffee, have a quick bite to eat, and then practice with headphones for an hour.

Just wake up early, get something done like work around the house or meaningful practice, and then take a little siesta after lunch. This is SOP in much of the world.
