Hey all, hope your all well and good.

Now I know, this doe's seem a bit of a girly, silly thing to ask but...
Has anyone got any tips about how to do Jason's hair from 1989 to 1992(ish)? You know the whole shaved sides with long hair on top thing. I've got to to the long process of growing my hair out 1st, it's only just coming down to my eyes, There's pictures and video of him playing etc, I can't seem to find a good shot of the back of his head to see if the whole lot has been shaved off or it's like a huge mohawk with the hair running down the back of the head.

Again, sorry to ask such a stupid question but I thought hey it's worth a shot.

Thanks.

I wouldn't suggest doing that unless you don't want to get job interviews or to get laid. Even Jason doesn't cut his hair that way these days.

I've thought about doing it many times. My hair is super thick. And in the Texas heat it seems like it would be a good idea. But everytime I think I'm going to do it, I decide not to.
Just shave the sides and the back, leave everything on the top of your head long. It was big back in the 90's.

Do you mean this?

Just get a a hair clipper and go at it.
You don't need Allen Edwards for that.

A mate of mine did it once, he looked like something thrown up by the 90's grunge movement.

Jason was the guy who got me into playing bass, but only he could rock that mop. For everyone else, it's fashion suicide

I heard he got hairline fractures in his spine from the rotating headbanging he used to do/does. Dont know if thats true or not.

Im pretty sure he shaved all the way around.

I had that hair style in the early 90s...

As mentioned above, it's just long hair with the bottom half shaved.

Spade2you: Well, I've already got a job and I've just come out of a two year relationship lol so I don't give a toss about that lol.

dozicusmaximus: Cheers dude,

hdracer: 100% totally that!

Jordy on bass: Don't care about fashion, lol yeah very true him really but, **** it.

metron: Pooooop, yeah I did read up that he's screwed up his neck pretty good, but all for the right reasons at the time.

carlos840: Yup! haha!

MatticusMania; Yeah, but only do the one side I think?

By the way I know there's a quote tab on the right side etc, but I'd thought I'd reply to all of you, =)

Anything else about this?

Phil Anselmo did it too, but his was shaved a bit higher. Closer to mohawk status. Back in the Cowboys from Hell days.

It would be pretty metal to do the opposite, like a skullet without the male pattern baldness.

Oh yeah, and you lose metal points for over-thinking it too btw...

Indeed it is. It's hot as hell too on some women. I know one that let the sides grow out, buzzed it down then shaved a spider web onto the sides. It's awesome.

For dudes to pull it off they need a head shape that looks good when it's bald.
