Here is a more detailed link. It seems Alba was well-intentioned; she was trying to raise awareness about dwindling shark populations, but she used poor judgement in doing what she did. Apparently, what she did was a misdemeanor since the damage was $700 at most, $1,000 worth of vandalism could have gotten her a year in jail.

I'm glad she did this, because most people aren't aware of just how passionate us land-locked Okies are about the plight of Sharks. Bravo!!!!!!!

All cynicism aside, I'm hoping to run into her somewhere in my hometown, if only for a 'schwing!!!' type moment.
