This is one time I said with management. $15 million a year for 3 years for a player clearly on the downside of career is more than generous, IMO.

Jeter's probably thinking about all the money the Yankees have thrown at free-agent pitchers his age and and older during his tenure, and figures he deserves it a lot more than they did.

I'm taking Jeter's side. If A-Rod can be making $25 mill at 42, there is no way that Jeter doesn't deserve close to that.
