Jimmy Fallon Improving?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I tuned into Jimmy Fallon tonight, and I was a bit more impressed. I don't know that I'd call the show great or anything, but I think the show has improved.
I'm impressed.

Thoughts?

I think he's better as a talk show host than as an actor...because you can't break character on a talk show. During his SNL days he did that constantly, which soured my opinion of him back then - he's much better now.

I started watching fallon a lot after conan left the airways. I've noticed that he does a shorter monologue and has more bits, integrates the audience a lot and improvises a ton. I like it. It doesn't hurt that he has The Roots every single night too.

I actually liked that, made him seem more real. It'd be pretty hard not to break character with Will ferell cowbelling it up.

I definitely agree. He used to constantly laugh at his own jokes on SNL and on his show. It got to the point of ruining funny jokes, by killing the timing of everyone and everything.

I've heard him say that he couldn't help it if he was in something with Ferrell. He was just a guest on the show and kept cracking up during a bit haha. I think it makes it better.
