Jimmy Fallon tonight show not funny!

The Roots rock all right!

But this guy Jimmy Fallon I don't find it funny. He seems either nervous or the jokes are plain dumb.

I tried watching the show many times, but after 15 min I am done.

Maybe this show is for a younger generation.

He is starting to grow on me. At first he was really rough, but he is now starting to nicely fall into a groove. Conan was really bad for the first few seasons, give Jimmy some time and he will be really good.

That's my general opinion as well. He's not great, but he's not too bad, and I definitely see progress. Of course, it helps he has the best band in all of late night tv.

This coming from a guy who pretty much hated majority of his SNL work. At least he doesn't have to worry about breaking character on a talk show.

Untill Conan comes back, I'll probably be paying more attention to my #2 guy though, Jimmy Kimmel.

that nervous thing is his act. thats what he does. always.

he cant deliver a punchline (despite most of them being hilarious), and his entire show is based around sucking questlove's **** and playing games with his guests. hes actually funnier when hes not trying to be funny.

it DID take conan a couple years to grow into what he is now, and ill hold back hating fallon entirely until he's had a little time. but hes been on tv a while, and he wasnt funny then either. hes just BARELY better than carson daly.

a pox on nbc.

I think Jimmy Fallon has improved since he started. I'm a little biased to Late Night, considering my sense of humor was practically formed by Conan on Late Night, but since Coco's not on the Tonight Show anymore, I just may have to watch Jimmy (certainly not going to watch Leno, he used to spoil Conan for me by making me fall asleep!). Craig Ferguson is a worthy backup too.

Jimmy's funniest moment yet has been his Neil Young impression- I cracked up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2WfUzNYPwo

It's hard to follow an act like Conan, so of course he's going to suck. I didn't like him at first, but a few good jokes here and there have started to reel me in.

I personally dig Fallon more than Leno and Conan. His show is hipper and more interesting, IMO.

When I first saw Fallon I actually felt embarrassed for him. It hurt to watch how bad his jokes were and how poorly he tried to execute them. That said, he has been improving some and I think he could end up being a good host in a few years... but I wouldn`t be surprised if NBC dropped him before that could happen.

+1

You have to enjoy the new generation of humor, so not everyone will like him. I tried liking Leno but I couldn't stand all of his sex jokes and creepy attraction to all the younger ladies on the show.

jimmy = not funny
show = not well executed
roots= only thing holding it together
real housewives sketch= deepest flash of brilliance on the entire show, Owen Biddle may be a comic genius! hes like dean martin and jerry lewis all in one. the straight man and the slapstick.

Perhaps some interesting guests would supply more comedic fodder.

i fell the same bout his show. every seems just...off to me. not the biggest fan of his band, he never seems funny, and the commercials for the things he does per night always look stupid

I like Jimmy Fallon and his "uneasy showman" persona. Maybe it's because I like irony.

He's a likeable guy, but I swear he hired Bob Saget's old AFV writing team.
