JimmyM's a grandpa!

Sign in to disble this ad

Allow me to present my wife Nancy with our first grandson Braden! Braden was born Tuesday at 12:30, weighing 7 lbs. and measuring 20 inches.

Funny story...I had a gig Tuesday evening and had to leave for it by 2 pm. They went to the hospital that Monday evening, so I told our daughter in law to please try and have the baby in the 11a-2p time window so I could be there and get a decent night's sleep first. Sure enough, she has him at 12:30! I thought that was real sweet of her to accomodate me.

Feeling a little bit old right about now, but hey, it's worth it to be old to have a grandkid! Hope I get a couple more...not any time soon, though

Not only that, but the baby is not ugly!

How on earth did you manage that? Is that a real baby or a prop baby?

Anyhow, being old with a grandbaby beats just being old. Take it from someone with no (0) living family.

Good for you!

Congrats, JimmyM. Just had my daughter and granddaughter (now 2 and a half) over today for breakfast. It's awesome being a grandpa.
Wishing young Braden a welcome to this world, and wishing you all (all generations) much love together.

What a nice thing to say.

Congrats JimmyM. I just had my four grandkids spend the night lastnight. It's really cool watching those little shavers bounce around the house.

Hey, you guys rock! Thanks a lot. He's a sweet little guy. Hates getting his diaper changed, though...man, he can howl! Why don't their voices start out small like their bodies?

Jimmy, I thought you were like 23 at most!

Anyways, best thing about being a grandparent...The kid gets to go home! Plus you get to do the quarter behind the ear trick and the severed thumb trick.

My grandpa made me sign stuff when I was a kid....later found out it was to keep uncle sam away from his money. What a guy.

Congrats, Jimmy! Funny about the gig story. I have two grandkids now, a boy (3 1/2) and a girl who just turned 1 in December. The little girl was due around December 4th ('07). I remember that I had a gig on 12/1. I told my wife, "I just know she'll be born on the first". Sure enough, she was born the evening of 12/1. No problem though. I got to see her the next morning.

Grandkids are great. Lot's of fun, and they eventually go home about the time you become worn out!
