John Madden and the Turducken

Sign in to disble this ad
Earlier this evening a friend of mine bet me a good deal of money that the video footage of John Madden carving a Turducken with his bare hands has been completely removed from the internet. The video is supposedly from a halftime show in the 90's. I'm going mildly insane searching the web looking for this and figured I'd ask everyone here if you by chance have seen this footage or have a copy somewhere hidden. I have 7 days to find the tape.

Turducken - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
John Madden, noted NFL analyst, popularized the turducken in America when on air. During his announcing for CBS he presented a turducken to the viewers, then began carving it with his bare hands. Later he promoted it again on Fox by awarding a turducken to players on the winning team for the Thanksgiving Bowl. On the November 9, 2008 broadcast of NBC Sunday Night Football, Madden responded to a fan's sign reading "JOHN MADDEN, BRING BACK TURDUCKEN" by calling his fixation with turducken "a thing of the past," stating that he would return to a traditional turkey for subsequent Thanksgivings
I'm not sure about the footage, but it was during his time at CBS, that's probably a good starting point.

I remember the moment very well . I talk about it in wonder from time to time. He used the edge of his hand to sort of saw the turducken open and then pulled the layers apart. I recall Al Michaels' priceless expression of bemused disgust as the icing on the cake. Probably MNF before Thanksgiving in 2002, so that would be ABC.

I've managed to at least track down that the dame was 11/25/2002 Eagles v 49ers. Does anyone have saved video of this halftime show?
