I finally got sick of Firefox always screwing up downloads and making me change save locations for downloaded programs. I tried all the fixes known, and it consistently reverted back to problematic behaviors!
Now that I can use Adblock with Chrome, FF is gone for good.

And yes, I'm being completely serious, Google is watching what you do in chrome all the time, even in your "private-browsing" moments. I think I read that Google was using the info collected to make the internet adapt to you (like with pop-ups and ads), and for use with their new OS and tied-in apps and the like.
tl,dr. Opera is where its at.

Chrome is open source, so there are alternatives. Iron is based on Chrome, so I figured it would be easier to just say Chrome on here. I'm technically using SRWare Iron. None of the privacy concerns of Chrome!

I was joking and being serious at the same time. Google is really delving into some bad practices as a corporation.
So how is Iron?

I'm at 10.4.1 and not going any farther, with this box. Oh well. I'll try it on my PC--though it's Win 7, and Iron's site only mentions earlier versions of Windows! |

I was sick of the memory leaks. It's not cool having to reboot the laptop in the middle of work because all the memory is gone to that damn browser.
