They hurt. Lortabs are not working as well as I hoped. I can't even open my mouth enough to really eat a lot of food. Any ideas guys?

Pour it on a piece of cotton.
Place the raki'ed cotton on whereever it hurts.
It's the ultimate "Turkish way of handling hurting teeth".

that's what they put me on when I had one taken out recently. Didn't help the pain but lord did I feel great
Actually, I had a crown put on about 3 weeks ago, now the tooth is dying and hurting like a mofo so they have to do a root canal to save it within the next few days. I may need to follow some of the advice in this thread myself.....

See, this is the kind of thing you have to get squared away with your dentist or doctor BEFORE a procedure.
You have to explain your low pain tolerance and clear need for 10 mg Vicodin.

But yeah, massive +1 to Vicodin/hydrocodone. Just don't booze while you're on it, as it has acetaminophen mixed with it. |

The swelling is bad though. I look like a chipmunk. First one is not swelled, second on.... well you can figure it out.

the teabag thing is only good to chew on if you happen to pull a clot. Because it's so absorbent, it stems the bleeding and allows another clot to form. You'll know it if this happens, as you'll be curled into a ball about to black out due to the pain.

My evil dentist wants to pull my two bottom wisdom teeth.
Why?
There only slightly impacted, I never have any pain.
He says they don't have room to grow, but are they realy gonna keep growing? I am 32.
The only problem is there is a cavity in one of them.
Why can't I just get it filled? Seriously?

Plus they and your molars and even parts of your jawbone may start to be reabsorbed if you were to let it go long enough. Just get 'er done and enjoy the hell out of your vicodin.

How come some people don't need to remove them? |

Although the teeth themselves probably stopped growing when you were in your late teens or early twentys...so don't believe the evil dentist who tells you they're still growing.

Follow the doctors orders and if you feel way to much pain, call him and tell him.

I'm having my girl bring me some later tonight
