Just got off the phone with my guitarist...

Two of the guys that I play with have been living in a rental house (where we practice) for about two years. On and off they report weird sounds and noises that they hear in the house. The guitarist always talks about a time that his storm window crashed down and shut when it was locked into place. Our best friend is landlord/property manager and they both looked at in disbelief that it just fell... but whatever. I've always given him a hard time cause it freaked him out.

So last night... we were practicing/jamming.. we have a nice 'permanent' setup in the basement. My bass rig, two full stacks for the guitars, and a drum kit. We played last night until about 12:30am... a little later than usual. I split shortly after that and they went to bed. About an hour later.... BANG BANG BANG... someone was playing the bass drum and hitting the symbols at the same time. The guitarist got up out of bed ... thinking his roomy (drummer) had people over or was playing... and was going to tell him to stop playing. His roommates door was shut so he knocked on the door. His roommate said "DID YOU HEAR THAT"... all the sudden they realize that neither of them were playing drums. The cautiously went downstairs.... looked at everything. Drum sticks were in the same spot... and nobody was downstairs. IS THAT FREAKY OR WHAT... and these guys aren't superstitions. They are obviously a little freaked out...

Does anyone know if there is any public record or way to find out the history of the house (or if people died in house)??? They are so freaked out they are considering moving ...

I may just have to run over to the library this afternoon... I did an online search and couldn't come up with anything for their address. And these guys are my age, 35-40 so they aren't spring chickens living out on their own for the first time. The guitarist has been one of my best friends for 25+ years... never seen him this freaked out.

It's Keith Moon's Ghost.

Seriously though, that's very odd.

If I could jam with whomever I would...

What's really strange... I just pulled up his address on Google Maps... there is a cemetery less than a block from his house... never noticed one. I may have to do more digging. This story is getting weirder.

That could be your problem.

I have seen three ghosts in my life who were all benevolent but I do not have any experience with noisy ones...perhaps they feel ignored...

If this phenomenon persists then perhaps an Infrared Security Camera might be useful:

sound pretty odd. set up some sensitive mics in the basement and see what happens. who knows what you'll pick up. i have a friend that is very into ghost hunting and has been doing it for about ten years now. some of the recordings he's gotten are super weird and i know theyre real because this guy just does this for a hobby so its not like he's trying to pull ratings for a tv show or anything.
my advice would be to research the history and then set up microphones and such. theres alot of stuff on the web for very cheap equipment to find the paranormal
