Just got rear ended today!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I was stopped at a red light waiting to make a right hand turn when suddenly I get jolted forward. I look behind me and I see this gold colored Monte Carlo pulling aside of me and then turning in front of me. I took off after her thinking she was trying to bolt but she turned into a gas station and we got out and took care of the mess. A chunk of my bumper was sticking out of her fender. I have a little bit of back pain but it's alright. Nothing to get excited about. I'm hoping to get some pics of it but my camera's charging. Good times today in Columbus!!!

That stinks. I hope everything gets worked out in a timely fashion.

All I can think right now is: "If Maki had started a thread with this title it would have been completely different."

Well, that sucks.
Hope everything goes as smooth as possible.
Don't take you back pain for granted, either. If it's worse in the morning have your doctor take a look at it.

I'm glad you are okay. I've experienced getting whacked from behind while waiting at a stop light twice in my life and it ain't any fun. I'm glad they were just your average bumper bender affairs. A buddy of mine survived a 76 Camaro pretty much parking it's nose against the back of his seat in his big old full sized Chevy Suburban years ago, while waiting for the light to change. Again I'm glad you're alright, just be careful with your back for awhile as sometimes the full extent of any possible injury can take a day or two to show up.

Sorry to hear. See a doctor if it gets worse, the car is replaceable.

Glad to hear you're okay though.

Absolutely yes, glad you're okay!

I had that happen a few years ago in a 6 car pileup. I was lucky and I only got a bit of indentation in my back bumper. But I got some neck pain from it that didn't really show up until 1 or 2 days later. Things like that tend to be delayed reactions.

I got rear ended years ago in a similar situation. At first I felt fine, but a few hours later my back and neck seized up and I was in an ambulance taking a trip to the ER.

I drove it home and it seemed cool. I'll drive it today and check it out some more though. As far as this morning goes, my back is still a little tender but nothing more than it was yesterday. I just hope they take it easy on me at work today. They're merciless there.

From the title of the thread...Well, I'm glad it was just a car accident. I hope your back isn't badly messed up.

I had almost the exact same thing happen to me once. Two days after I bought a brand new truck.

I hope you're OK.

If you always pre-pack with a small amount of preparation H then it shouldn't hurt nearly as bad.

Plus it's great for the roids you get later!
