Turns out I have diverticulosis, which isn't good for a 35yo male as it usually occurs in people over 60 apparantly.
If I have any more infections they will probably operate to remove some bowel.
Oh, and they found a benign cyst on both my kidney and liver. Joy
At least they cleared me of any cancers (for now), which is a relief - my Dad passed of bowel cancer in '05.
Time to improve the diet and lifestyle once I've thrown my pity party

I have a family member (in her 40's) who has ulcerative colitis , with possible Krohn's disease. Oddly enough, they have her eating all white bread and grains, no fruit or veggies to speak of. Apparently her innards can't handle it at the moment. |

If it happens again I'm pretty sure they're gonna lop some bowel out.

Back in 1996 I was diagnosed with crohns disease and in 1999 they had to remove 3ft of my intestines. I thank the Lord they were able to make a clean connection to the bowel and I haven't had any issues since, but it was a literal pain in the arse. Hang in there and hopefully it will be all good news. |
