Xrays show a broken leg, but the spine and pelvis look fine.

That's a horrible thing. Hit and run?

Your cat should be OK. I've got quite alot of layman experience with this.

The driver didn't even touch the brakes. He had to stop at the lights and I could have caught up to him..... but Simon (the cat) was my first priority.

Thats not cool

Thankfully it is just leg which is broken. Make sure to keep a close eye on it, a thread just days ago about a fellow TB'er who's dog had been hit, but had also suffered some internal damage which I dont think had initially shown up on xray

thank goodness, they should be able to fix the cat right up. Unfortunately, that happened to me, with one of my dogs. Saw it, right in front of my eye. Fortunately, I was able to comfort him a bit, before he passed. He died in my arms.

I would have taken the license number of the person. And then found his house and confronted him about a hit and run on the cat. And if your fist with brass knuckles managed to fly into his face, then oh well... and if his house windows had all been smashed in, that kind of stuff mysteriously happens. I'm not down with idiots hitting animals in their cars. Or I'd at least have thrown a brick at his back windshield.

I hope that your cat is going to be alright.

Did you get the plate of the guys car?

We once ran over our first cat, as far as we can tell (didn't see him) he was asleep behind our back wheel and didn't move when when reversed out of our drive.

He was remarkably ok, i dont think he had any long-lasting injuried at all
