It's for divers to get them out of a shark attack alive.

I love it. Easier to carry than a bang stick, but you will be closer to the shark.

I think you can use it to inject roasts with marinade as well It slices.......it dices......it explodes watermellons and causes pesky sharks to float rapidly to the surface

Wouldn't the air (and subsequently blood and guts) just blow right back out the hole that you just violently created in the shark? What makes the air bubble stay inside, rather than just rushing back out?

That thing seemed to require an aweful lot of force to pierce the watermellon It's probably like getting stabbed with a dull spoon. Sharks are tough. I'd hate to rely on it

hmmm... make one bowie-style, and instead of having a blood groove make it a hollow channel inside the knife which exits at the beginning of the clip-point cutaway, and then attach the other end of the channel to a CO2 cartridge inside the handle (like with some airsoft guns)

could be sharp AND explodey

just thinkin'

I'll just use my trusty katana with a phosphoric acid sprinkler. I mean, if you are going to inject something into a shark, what good is air going to do, give it gas? Try a quart of acid and watch the bastard melt in half - or at least you can entertain yourself with how bad digestion it's going to get.

I'm not an expert on knives or physics, but I think I see what's going on here. It appears to me that the airstream shoots out the top of the knife tip, driving it downwards.

It looks like the knife is pushed into the board and then bounces back up. That could be useful, depending on where you stab the predator/attacker... or really dangerous. I would imagine in the real world it would leave an enormous gash. However this is probably less of an issue underwater, because there's much more resistance to prevent the knife and your arm from moving.

I did some reading about it on some diving forums.. Apparently it's not that sharp, and on top of that, coming from people with experience diving, it'd be a tough job to actually be able to stab a shark even with a sharp knife.

I like on the website that one of its claimed uses is for tactical military operations use. It claims to be a silent way of killing an enemny, but its seems to make a hell of a racket when 'killing' the watermelon!

I wonder what use it is in an urban combat environment. I guess you could get an after-market lazer-dot. Maybe a torch attachment too.
