I give this guy the presumption of innocence, but there is something really fishy about him.

I whole-heartedly agree. He's never seemed right.

He messed with the wrong woman in the wrong country. I hope the DB gets what he deserves.

Didn't he brag [while being suspiciously taped] that he had something to do with dumping that poor girl's body in Aruba? I don't know what he's guilty of other than being an @hole that I'd like to beat the snot out of.

In related news, Nancy Grace and Greta Van Susteren were both hospitalized today with orgasmic shock syndrome.

I'm Dutch, and I am just glad that he is caught in Peru, instead of in the Netherlands. Peru will not exchange prisoners, so if he is found guilty, he can stay in Peru for the next 25 years or so.. It appears that nothing right has ever come out of his hands, and at his age, already so much went wrong, I don't see him turning around, starting to work 9-5, and be a good citizen.. There have been some additional shows, where he was found in Thailand, one year after the Natalie Holloway case, being involved in human trafficing..

Of course that will not bring the poor girl back, nor will it solve Natalie's case, but at least he is kept from normal human beings..

Even though he's an asshat, something about the first case bothered me. Her friends allowed her to go off with this strange guy, even though she was sloppy drunk. Yeah, what he did, if he indeed did it, was horrible, but her friends should've been called out for that.

But they did try to stop her.
They yelled at her to get out, but the car took off quickly.

I remember reading all about the case a little while after it was no longer in the headlines and all I kept thinking was 'why can't the connect this guy?'. It just seems like a little proper police work would have drummed up enough evidence to impliment him.

I suspect he already speaks Spanish. He'll just have to learn how to enunciate better while on his knees.

I just will never understand what makes you want to kill a young girl.

Anyone, for that matter, but especially a young girl who has never done anything to you. I'm glad this punk will finally get his comeuppance

I'll let the legal system determine his guilt or innocence, but even if he is exonerated, he still seems to be a disgusting and useless person. I strongly suspect he is guilty though and I hope his parents and connections cannot save him this time. He needs some of his own medicine in a Peruvian house of correction, which I am presuming the other inmates and the staff will be glad to supply for years to come if he survives that long.

Chile took van der Sloot to the border and made him walk to Chile! They say he was crying too. BTW, he does speak fluent Spanish and made a statement to the Chilean or Peruvian police already.

The bottom line is that I think he better get used to being Peru because he isn't going anywhere.
