Keeping Secrets - This One is Staying a Secret Forever

Are there any secrets that you know can never be told? I have had a dark past at times and have willingly been open about it. There are some things that are not entirely open to the public but many close people to my heart know about them. What happened last night/this morning I think has to stay a secret forever. (Also this thread is not for people to reveal any secrets that are meant to be kept...it's just I feel that TB is an awesome place and well what I think occurred is quite interesting.

Anyways, one of my best friends and I always had a little thing for each other since freshman year in high school. Now we're almost juniors in college and we've been very close ever since but only as friends. Last night/ this morning we spent some close time together and it escalated to something we pretty much never would have thought was going to occur. After all was said and done.....I told her that I would absolutely never tell anyone (TB is an exception.....no one knows who I'm talking about and will rarely see me personally). You know.....I think this is something that is going to test my personal integrity because I truly do love her as a human/friend and not as a lover and I would never do anything to harm her. Sometimes we joke with our friends about things that occur and can rub it off our shoulders....but this is something that would pretty shocking to the others....and well it would be so unexpectable that we have decided to make a secret between us forever. I personally dont care if she tells anyone....but I feel that this is truly something I can never tell absolutely anyone. Not my brother ...father...family...friends...anyone.

I just was wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences. Maybe it doesn't have to do anything with what happened to me....maybe it was school......work....or something else. And Mods...I don't think I'm breaking any rules...and general TB members....you'll probably think this is lame....but it kind of feels like.....I'm a person that will have a different view on certain things from now on.

What's the problem here? I had a good friend in college that I hooked up with after a few years. Now we're married.

you are best friends too afraid to admit that you're in love. There is nothing wrong with that. I am in love and engaged to be married to my best friend. Nobody can ever take that away, and you should grab that opportunity to express your feelings to her before she is lost forever.

I was messing around with my best freind's sister and trying to keep it on the DL for a while. I was petrified of my friends finding out since a good half of them are all related. When they found out about it it actually helped and our relationship was made better by it. No high drama and now we are married and have a kid. Secrets like that seldom stay that way, I would start preparing for the changes in the dynamic of you, her and your friends now. It'll probably be fine.

So is she asian and her parents don't approve? I've been there. The best bet is to simply sleep with her mom, so you can gain her allegiance for your cause. If she has sisters you might have to tap them as well. You know, for the cause.

EDIT: Sometimes there could be a rogue cousin or niece involved. Better tap them too. Just in case.

nah.....she's not ugly at all. haha. and well she lives in LA and i live in ELP. so that kind of would be difficult anyways. sorry maki...she is not asian hahahaha.

thanks for the advice guys. and yea....i am very chill about it...its not like im losing my cool.....its just....we never thought this would have occurred hahahah.
