Keurig Coffee Makers!! ZOMG!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Life is starting to look a lot better now, got a part-time job at a company that's AMAZING to work for because the people and the company share my same values in being there for the customers as well as selling a product i TRULY believe in.. as well, my associates in computer science is funded through a grant, so I have that working, too.

Life is Good!

Having said that, I got a gift certificate to Dillard's.. I offered to sell it to my close friends, but no one budged - so I decided, after 6 months in the unemployment line, I would treat myself:

I bought a Keurig coffee maker! OMG! It's awesome. I'm always on the go, don't have time (nor want to make time for my morning pick me up) - I decided to get it cause it's so quick since i'm running late all the time.

You pop in a little cup thing of a brew and you're done and on your way!!

I know it's not all hard core like Brad Cook's stuff, but he's a crack addict when it comes to coffee, so his opinion doesn't matter.

I was playing with it for a while (TWSS), and am all wired with simple to make coffee.

Just letting people know..

Happy Holidays!

My company makes a competing product, so I bought that for everyone this holiday season. They're all in love with the instant one-cup coffee making. And frankly, I love that I can get a good cup of tea or hot cocoa in an instant from the same machine as their coffee.

I went with a similar Cuisinart machine that does pods instead of the K-cups.

Do yourself a favor and get the K-cup adapter for fresh ground coffee, a decent burr grinder and buy beans. Nothing like fresh ground beans. I haven't bought a coffee pod since.

Those machines have the advantage of perfectly measured coffee every time. One of my friends refills his own.

I love my Keurig! My whole family uses them (well, all but one brother). My other brother just got one for christmas. I'm aware that a "better" cup of coffee could be made with fresh beans and the like, but you simply can't beat the convenience. Plus, I'm not that picky about my coffee. This thing makes a great cup, and after I add the cream and sugar, it's even better!

We got a Kuerig a few weeks ago and are really enjoying it. I like the Nantucket Blend (there was once a man from Nantucket... no, never mind) and SWMBO likes the Breakfast Blend.

They are pretty good cups of coffee, but small. I have one in my dorm, but only used it once or twice. Next semester with my 8 am class four days a week I imagine I'll get a lot more use out of it.

Yeah, they rock. I literally got 60+ doses today at the family x-mas get together for the Wife and I. Alot of Chai, which I dig, some hot chocolate, and a buncha french roast. Mmmm.

the machine itself is great. I set that puppy up to brew me a cup and have it ready for when I got outta bed. Like a charm.

We have a few machines in the office. After a while, all the coffees/teas end up tasting the same. Try running some hot water through w/o the k-cup and see the filth in the machine. To mix some metaphors: it really is like eating at the Y of the village bicycle.

Enjoy your coffee.

I'm as big a coffee snob as they come, and we have one too. We absolutely love it. We go through at least one box of k-cups per week.

What you need to get now is a "my k-cup", so you can make coffee with your own beans. We use one of those as well.

FYI...I haven't found a hot cocoa I like yet, so we still use Swiss Miss and just run the Keurig with no k-cup in it to get the hot water.

joe, this was one of my reasons for getting it, i'm too much of a jackass to make coffee every morning.. next semester is going to be rough - taking 14 hrs (four classses) but two of the classes are going to kill me; CCNA I & II - one is the first 8 weeks and the other is the next 8 weeks - I have to go to them Tues & Thurs 8am - 12:30 pm, meet - i'll need extra reinforcements (coffee), because I anticipate having it rough. i'm hoping my job will move me to full time very soon. gonna be a long semester.. lack of sleep, lots of studying, lots of work, lots of learning. our school doesn't have any coffee makers.. now work on the other hand: everything is FREE. we have it really nice - even one of those fancy espresso makers (commercial types you see at coffee shops)..

Don't forget. These are going to be different beans than the ones you put in burritos.
