Kicking Facebook (again)

Facebook is the 2.0 version of crack.

I de-activated my first account (can't delete it, it stays active even after two weeks of inactivity), because I was fed up with it.

Joined again to promote my pictures etc, establish connections, etc.

And, now, after 6 months I'm clicking away my time again on FB...

So, my plan is:

Don't go on FB unless I post something new on my blog/Flickr or if someone sends me a message.

And I've set up an automatic fwd to get all the FB notifications in a separate map in my email account.

Wish me luck !

If you're talking about this:

http://www.facebook.com/help/contact...delete_account

then that's plain cheating on FB's part

As a college student, I find it a bit of a necessity to be on FB: loads of notes/assignments are uploaded there. Also serves as a a place to communicate with my bandmates. Just trying to minimize the rest of the time I waste there

Yep, the 2 weeks of inactivity=deletion thing doesn't work.

Not that I'm surprised.

And that virtual suicide thing doesn't work either.

Facebook is also a good place for pursuing topics which are verboten on TB.

There are a LOT of loons to lampoon on Fb.

If your old account is not in your actual name just post a bunch of stuff which violates Facebook's Terms Of Service and then report it via your new account (if it has a different e-mail).
