Kid Proofing

I like most parents have a kid. A 2 year old loveable terror. I have done things with my guitars to "kid" proof them. Hanging them up on the wall, no amps, no cords, tuners small pieces up high. I was wondering if anybody else out there also has kids and what you do to protect your guitars.

I have a chocolate lab which falls into essentially the same category. I guess the main stuff is just organizing so she doesn't get into it. I have a guitar on a stand but it has a little latch to hold it in place(although it doesn't prevent it from being licked or strummed by a happy tail). I just realize that most of my amps' controls are about tail height too but I don't think she's hit them out of place...

To the OP, kid proofing is like fool proofing, it's not possible. There's a great saying Whoever claims to have a fool proof plan underestimates the ingenuity of fools and it applies equally well here. Like most who are not parents, I don't have kids but I do have enough kid sisters and cousins to know never to try to outsmart them.

My advise, keep doing what you're doing.
