I want to see this movie.
My favorite movies are intelligent, quirky films or dumb comedies. This is the latter. Trailer

I wouldn't call it a "dumb" comedy, more silly. Definitely seems intelligent in a silly, lightheared way. I usually reserve the term "dumb comedy" for the endless stream of parody movies they keep churning out since Scary Movie. |

I think Jack Black works well as a sidekick or partnered up with someone rather than trying to carry a movie by himself. I'll watch anything with Mos Def in it. |

The girlfriend and I caught it last night and we were in tears, in particular, during the Ghostbusters scene, which may have been some of the funniest stuff ever committed to film.
We hadn't heard anything about it and I usually avoid Jack Black films, but when we saw it was by the director of Eternal Sunshine and Science of Sleep we had to check it out and what a winner. A really great film and highly recommended.

Maybe this thread can be merged with Latimour's. |
