I've owned it on VHS for 20 years. Awesome film, with a really cool Phillip Glass soundtrack.

And it has a follow-up which is pretty good as well - in the same vein I would recommmend "Baraka" ..

I heard the soundtrack years before I saw it (and enjoyed it, for some bizzare reason, I love Philip Glass). Pretty good movie it is interesting watching the evolution of everything.. yet how some thigns remain the same..

I haven't seen the other 2 movies in the "Qatsi" series yet.

I saw it about 20 years ago. It was fascinating to watch. I believe the sequel is called Powaqaatsi (or something similar to that).

Baraka is amazing. One of those films that transcends language.

I love Koyaanisqatsi. that last one is Naqoyqatsi i think...

Used to watch it more frequently than I do now.

Maybe I'll fire it up tonight...

Anyone heard "Einstein on the beach" extra points if you've seen or heard a live remake.

If you like Philip Glass its a must get... the music is pretty challenging.

For some reason I have an absolute fascination with "knee play 2". Absolutely incredible. Its very challenging to try to keep up with those vocals, you just cant enunciate words that fast...

Add to that list "Powasquatsi"

All three = Very cool.

But it could have been that mushroom pizza we chowed on (20 or so years ago) that made them seem so great...

Oh, okay, yeah, I'd heard the Philip Glass joke years ago. I incorrectly inferred that there was one specific to Koyaanisqatsi.
