edited to apologise to my TB family and to RalphL for taking out my frustration openly. I didnt know your Avatar was a hockey player, it was bad judgement on my end to open a thread about it. I'll always be the one to speak up, and this is not the first or last time I'll open mouth and insert foot. Peace hommies.

Maybe horrible, and possibly offensive (though I am not sure how) but that is no reason to have to change it. Just look the other way. I think it is just a hockey player anyway, no big deal.

If you're that easily offended, how do you make it through life without being in a constant state of indignation? Have you ever played a gig?

I don't know. I didn't mean to come off like a tool, but it just seemed a little too "morality police" to me. *lol*

Because decency is subjective and it is a free country. Besides, that picture has more decency than most of prime time television.

Too many gigs to count what does that have to do with anything? So because I decided to say something then I'm a bad guy and everyone is on my case now? Give me a break. I didn't say anything offensive to RalphL, just asked him to change his picture.

You're not a bad guy, but a lot of us feel like you're over-reacting.

+1 I have been getting more and more irritated with morality police, it seems that everyone is always trying to tell everyone else how to be, or what is right when really it is unwarranted.

It's Bobby Hull, The Golden Jet! Only folks that should be offended are Red Wings fans!!

BTW, isn't there an option ion the User CP to turn off avatars?

There are better ways to do it. What you've done, essentially, is driven along side a car crash, brought out a giant neon sign, and yelled "hey, everybody! look at this horrible thing!"

Sometimes there isn't enough drama on TB, so we have to create drama out of nothing.

EDIT: The guy is a hockey LEGEND. A little bit of sports blood is not gratuitous. Thicken thy skin.

This brings up the related subject of what I call the "entitlement of being offended". Everybody seems to be offended these days and they want to impose their views on others. They feel entitled to such control. Such an atmosphere has brought on political correctness on steroids. Enough.

Having said that, some things are universally offensive, like 4chan.

Not much on Hockey, dont know who Bobby Hull is.

On a good note I made a post that got everyone involved!

(thinking positive)

Again, sorry I didnt just PM. Wasnt trying to be the "morality police", Lord knows I don like people telling me what to do. I over reacted. Im not sorry for saying something about it, I am apologetic for saying something openly and should have PM'd.

Also, while we're all here, I find the phrase "I hump the thump in my funk" reprehensible. It makes me think impure thoughts.
