Layoffs? LAYOFFS?!?!

Sign in to disble this ad
exactly that, my TBin was cut since I've had a boss on my ass for the past two months or so, then came Friday laid off. till spring time.
Working at a Harley Dealer sucks sometimes.

so in the global economic slowdown, who else here has gotten the axe? who's out there bustin their ass? and who's busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger with crabs? Keep working. my unemployment check depends on you.

we have had whole rounds of layoffs. I even posted a thread recently about it. So far, I've survived. I don't know how, but I'm about 95% certain my time is coming within the next 2-3 months...not a cool feeling

yep...been layed off since early last year and can't find work in the southwest; there's just simply none to be had. My GF (who's a travelling ER nurse) and I decided to travel to Massachusetts and do a three month travel assignment stint here and be close to some family.

Not working sucks...real bad.

Not laid off, but a lot of cuts. Working just as hard for less money. Still. I'm glad to have a job at this point.

Just got outsourced. Still don't have a good feeling about it. Think it's gonna lead to the inevitable. It'll be the first time unemployed in over 25 years! We'll see!

FYI, employers pay in to an unemployment account and then the money is paid to you from it, not taxpayers. That's how I learned it in college 20 years ago, things may have changed.

I've been laid off for all of January, it really sucks, but I'm enrolling in a trade school so I may be better off in the long run.

What were you doing at HD? There is a guy that opened up a HD Mech shop here in town and it is doing really well. Nice guy and does great work w/o the HD mech prices.

I worked parts in the fall winter. and motorcycle rentals in the spring summer. easy job, just didnt pay squat, our owner is a cheap ass and is doing a great job at destroying the dealership.

You really need to be in the zone to code, otherwise you get nothing done...Plus we have been busy since I got here a year ago, when I finish a site there is another waiting for me and if I go faster I just burn out earlier.
